The Power Divine

The latest work of art from the house of Airbrush Sperlich

divine2One of the latest creations is a rather dull kind of car - a station wagon! But with comprehensive tuning and last but not least the art of our two airbrush professionals, the owner may now be proud of an extraordinary cult object which has no equal.

List of materials used: White varnish by Glasurit Paint gun: Sata Airbrush: Iwata HP-B Airbrush paint: Schmincke Aerocolor

Fig.  1 and 2 The 2005 BMW 535 Touring just as the owner handed it in to Airbrush Sperlich. The standard family car, a rather boring one, was "tuned up a little" by "Eastgermancustoms". Reconstruction with some M5 parts, high quality entertainment units inside and scissor style doors are only some of the new highlights of this Bavarian car. The owner of "Eastgermancustoms", Michael Möbius, arranged for this job. Airbrush Team Sperlich had already designed Michaels Golf 3 Showcar (see Fig. 2). The friendship established during this job resulted in close cooperation in building these unique rolling works of art.

divine3Fig.  3 The customer wanted to get back to the already existing smaller airbrush "sunning divinity" once again. But "larger, more extravagant, more impressive and much, much more artistic". Okay, thanks for the clear instructions.... no problem for the airbrush artists at Sperlich's. The old airbrush design would of course disappear completely.

Fig.  4 As for all large projects, they did a computer design beforehand and presented to the customer for approval. The picture shows the design for the driver side. By the way - the ideas for the sketch emerged while researching the term "sunning divinity" or "sun god". In the end, pictures from the Internet as well as from books and movies were used when composing the computer simulation - and the customer eagerly accepted the designs.

divineThe whole project lasted for 360 working hours or three and a half weeks. The research and design stadium took more than one week.  The next presentation will be at the Tuning & Carsound fair in Leipzig/Germany (July 6 to 8). We hope to see the car at the ArtCon in Recklinghausen, too.
